Introducing Reanne Liew to the world! Born on 17th March 2007 to my Uncle San and his wife. Congratulations! Pearly, don't worry, you'll get used to seeing your sister outside of your mommy's tummy ;] Birth is such an amazing thing. (Applies to most people only. rf.MA)

Now time for complaints. Recently, works on building a new overhead bridge across the road near my house was completed. Along with that came a spanking new green fence that prevents people from not using the brand-new overhead bridge. Now, why am I complaining? Because the people who decided to build the overhead bridge there because they believe that it will bring convenience to the people who will be forced to use it are downright DUMB. In the first place, the road is not a super hectic busy road like the Jalan Teck Whye road that meets the train crossing. People can cross the road and sometimes even sit in the middle of it like their father owns the road and still be able to get up, swat their butts clean and walk away alive. Secondly, the road divider is this stretch of grass with some trees that is about 1m wide, fatter than the fattest person who might want to cross that road. If there are vehicles on the road, just stay on the grassy divider and wait for it to pass. No big deal. So if the road is such a safe road that even grandmothers with walking sticks and accompanying maids can cross unscathed, why is there a need to build that freaking overhead bridge? Now we know where our tax money went. So pay for education for these developers or planners so that they can stop coming up with such stupid ideas to occupy air space. I'm sure I am not the only one who has missed their buses just because they have to use the overhead bridge instead of simply crossing the road. Usually if the bus happens to arrive just when we are waiting for a vehicle to pass, the bus driver can see us and wait for us. But I assume the builders assumed that we'll all be wearing huge signboards that declares what number buses we take and that the drivers will check the overhead bridge for prospective passengers. I know! Maybe the bridge is there so that we can hang beautiful posters of candidates and nominees for the General Election. Then the fence would come in handy too, hanging little birdy feeders to feed the birds with so that they won't poop on those beautiful, glossy posters. Whatever man. I pity those using that overhead bridge on a daily basis.
